Workshops, Gigs and Dance

We hold Dance Workshops for young people aged between 8yrs and 18yrs every Wednesday evening, from 6pm til 7.15pm, as well as a full day every half term and school holiday, from 9.30am til 3pm. At the Dance Workshops our Dance Leaders teach the members new routines that they have choreographed at their weekly training sessions. We also practice routines that we already know and have a Dance-Factor and Showcase from invited guests to round off the day……..Excellent Fun!!!

There is always free fresh fruit from Aldi’s and lush smoothies, prepared by the ladies from Coastline Housing, to snack on and entry is always free too! We get invited to showcase our routines at loads of different community events, conferences and forums and we also give private tuition classes. Values that change communities

Since the TR14ers began, there has been a significant impact on the lives of the young people involved, and the town itself. The team has witnessed less use of asthma pumps (25% of dancers suffered asthma) as fitness levels improve and through less incidence of smoking (many of the dancers have quit altogether). However, perhaps the most important outcome however is the raised collective self esteem of the young people themselves who have at long last shaken off the mantle of shame felt about living in Camborne. The TR14ers are living proof that 'dance' can change 'community'.
